I’m sure many of you have seen this project on Pinterest. It’s a cheap, easy way to get some color on your walls! What’s not to like?
I used two projects to create my schtuff. Click here for jensidea.blogspot.ca’s project and here for littlebltfunky.com’s project. It’s like their projects made love and out came my project. Ain’t love grand?!
You’ll need paper, mod podge, brown paint, canvases and brushes. I bought all the supplies from Michaels. I made the design for the outer two canvases all by my self! For the first canvas, I used red cardstock, brown paint and a stencil that I made for a wall project (coming soonish!). For the fourth canvas, I took red and mint cardstock sheets and cut ‘em up good. I went a little overboard with the brown paint, but I really wanted that burnt paper look.
My favorite one is the third; very Moroccan chic meets cowboy western sexy with a nautical twist, haha. I hung the canvases in our upstairs hallway! Not many guests go upstairs on account of how it’s a dirty joke mess, so you’re privy to something most our friends haven’t seen! What do you think?!
so cute I love this idea! My house could use some decor like this, thanks for the tips!
